Frequently Asked Questions
Soundrise General
- Everyone is on TikTok nowadays, and it's surely the first platform used to discover music. SoundRise makes it easy to leverage this by helping you create content consistently.
In social media, quantity beats quality—and we make it easy to keep going. Most people stop too early because creating content is exhausting, but SoundRise removes that barrier so you can maintain momentum.
Here's the thing: explicit marketing doesn't work. If you just post parts of your YouTube videos, it averages less views because people can tell it's an ad. It needs to feel organic. SoundRise helps you create authentic, engaging content that naturally promotes your music without feeling like a sales pitch. - You can cancel your subscription at any time through your SoundRise dashboard. Navigate to the billing section and click on "Cancel Subscription". Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
- Unlimited accounts.
- Unlimited team members can access your SoundRise account.
TikTok Account Setup & Management
- Based on our experience with the matter, here's the general outline: 1. Create a TikTok account, 2. Warm up your account - scrolling and engage with posts (relevant to your niche) on your FYP, do this for 20-30 minutes per day, do this for about 3-5 days and AVOID posting during this time, 3. Start posting 1-2x a day, but don't stop scrolling & engaging with posts, do this minimum 10-15 mins a day like a normal user would do (this is to show TikTok that you are a real human using the platform and avoid getting shadowbanned)
- It really depends on you and how you want to communicate your brand. What we see being done more and more is to have a separate tiktok account, faceless, that goes by "not artistname" where you resemble the aesthetic of the music through slideshows, of course quantity and consistency remains the key
- The fastest way is to ask friends and family if they have any un-used TikToks accounts they don't mind getting rid of, human accounts work the best. The second fastest is to create the accounts yourself by creating a new gmail account and sign up for TikTok with that new email address, this works too.
- We always recommend creating your own accounts since bought accounts can have hidden issues, previous violations, or might be flagged as spam and have no reach, which is harder to recover from. Fresh accounts give you full control and a clean slate with TikTok's algorithm.
Account Warming & Views
- The simplest way to think about “warming up” a TikTok account is to use it exactly like you'd use your personal one. Just browse your For You Page, don't post anything yet, and don't stress over it (act like a normal user). If you want a more structured process: 1. Create your TikTok account. Spend 10-15 minutes a day scrolling your FYP and interacting with content. Searching for creators in your niche and like, comment, or follow would help position your content there. Do this for 3-5 days without posting anything. After that initial period, continue engaging with posts the same way, but begin uploading 1-2 times per day. Make sure you keep browsing and interacting for at least 10-15 minutes daily to helps signal to TikTok that a real person is behind the account.
- "Warming up an account" essentially means letting TikTok know that you are a real person who is consuming content. You should always be scrolling/engaging with posts on TikTok.
You shouldn't "warm up your account" then say "I'm good" and then ONLY post on the account. TikTok will see that and then flag throttle your reach.
If you have a brand new account, yes you need to warm up your account.
If you have an account that hasn't been used in a while, yes you need to warm up your account.
If you have an account that you already use daily but never post on it, no you don't need to warm it up. - If the account is brand new, or you are starting to use an account that you haven't used in a while, 5-7 days is recommended. Some argue that 3 days is enough, but ofc the longer the better.
- With consistent, high-quality content, you can reach 1000+ views within 2-4 weeks. Focus on engaging content, trending sounds, and optimal posting times. ReelFarm's slideshow format is proven to help achieve this faster.
- With the type of content created with SoundRise, 200 views is almost guaranteed. Getting zero views depends on a lot of factors, there is no 1 reason why you're getting 0 views. I would ask myself these questions, "Am I posting more than I'm scrolling/engaging my FYP?" (you need to be consuming more than you're posting), "How new is my account?" (You shouldn't be posting unless your account is warmed up)
- I recommend that you stop posting and re-warm the account. The key is to continue using the account like you would use your personal account.
Scroll, engage, like, comment, bookmark, follow, etc. Do this for 20-30 minutes a day for the next 5-7 days. Then post once. You'll probably get around 150-300 views. Keep using the account like you would normally use it, but do not post. You're testing the waters. At a minimum, post every other day, and if you feel comfortable, post 1x a day. Do not exceed 2-3x a day unless you feel like you can do that without being throttled.
Strategy & Content
- SoundRise is an AI-powered TikTok video generator built to automate large-scale posting and funnel organic traffic to your songs.
The idea is to produce valuable, mostly evergreen content within your music niche for people to naturally want to save, share, like, or comment on—while subtly promoting your music. The videos should feel genuine, organic, and authentic.
Soundrise's slideshow format is especially effective for this purpose (many examples of this are showcased in the library).
Dozens of labels and music agencies already use this way of promoting songs, albums and playlists, and now with Soundrise it is also accessible to independent artists and labels. - Only slightly. SoundRise is an AI video generator built to promote music on TikTok, and it works well for virtually any genre. You can also repurpose the videos across other platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or X/Twitter to maximize reach. The main thing to consider is where your listeners spend their time.
No matter what kind of music you make, the strategy is simply to meet your listeners where they already are, and TikTok is the best platform for this as of now. - You need to treat music like your business. If you want to turn your passion into a career, you have to approach it with the same dedication and strategy you would with any business.
That means being consistent with promotion, investing in the right tools, tracking what works, and constantly showing up for your audience. SoundRise is built to help you run your music business more efficiently by automating the content creation process so you can focus on what matters most: making music. - How often you should post can vary based on your account's overall health, but during the first 1-2 weeks, aim for 1-2 posts per day. If your videos continue getting steady reach after that, you can increase to 1-3 posts daily.
The most important thing is staying consistent. It's much more manageable to start with one post a day than to jump straight into three, and TikTok generally prefers a steady 1-2 posts over rapid high-volume bursts. Consistency is everything. Soundrise's automatic scheduler makes it easier to keep up with this schedule without burning yourself out. - The algorithm rewards consistency, not perfection. TikTok puts all the incentives they can to keep you posting because they want fresh content on their platform.
With SoundRise, you multiply your chances of success by making it effortless to stay consistent.
Tell me another advertising machine that guarantees you at least 200 eyes on your song with a single click. SoundRise does exactly that. Every video you post is another opportunity for someone to discover your music. - It depends on your musical style and audience. I suggest browsing SOundrise's library is filled with examples to see what types of videos other artists in your genre are creating, both for promoting singles, albums and playlists.
- There are two main approaches: soft promotion or a direct call-to-action (CTA).
Soft promotion means mentioning your song without pushing it aggressively. Instead of saying something like “Go stream my track right now,” you reference the music in a natural way, showcasing it in the background of a video relevant to your music niche. The idea is to keep it feeling organic rather than like an ad.
A CTA is much more direct. This is where you clearly tell viewers what you want them to do. For example directly mentioning the fact you built a Spotify playlist, that of course includes your songs, or directly mentioning a new single that came out.
As for having a link in your bio, usually towards a spotify playlist or a new single, it's not required but it does help boost streams and conversions. Some artists prefer to avoid placing the link front-and-center and rely on soft promotion in the content, making it feel like fans discovered the song naturally rather than being pushed toward it. - We already pre-uploaded many templates for you to use right away. "My community" works great as an all-purpose folder. "Genre aesthetic" can work both to create a full slideshow but above all are good for CTA at the end of the carousel like "Songs credit:..." or "daily discoveries on country music here".
You can also upload your own images, of course, to taylor even more and test different strategies. It's easy as one click with the integration with Pinterest.
Slideshows
- Slideshows (image carousels) are extremely versatile and the easiest video format to automate, all while being very engaging and valuable to the audience. Using a TikTok AI video generator like SoundRise, you can really create an AI slideshow that people will engage with, without them ever knowing it's made with AI, and save you time to focus on your music.
- SoundRise's slideshow library is filled with examples to check out what other creators in your music niche are producing, and don't hesitate to browse all available formats—many can be adapted to fit any genre.
If you want inspiration directly from TikTok itself, start saving or bookmarking every slideshow you come across. Doing this signals to TikTok that you're interested in that style of content, and the algorithm will start showing you more of it—giving you an even bigger pool of ideas to draw from. - Of course, there are so many examples. Go through SoundRise's slideshow library and filter by most viewed to see successful AI TikTok videos in action promoting both singles, albums and playlists.
- SoundRise makes it so easy to source for authentic images for your slideshows, by integrating with Pinterest a simple search within the tool can give you dozens of images to start from.
Moreover, there are also dozens of images collections already pre-uploaded by us for a fresh start.
Platform Distribution
- You can run ads with slideshows as long as the images belong to you. Using photos you don't have rights to can lead to issues you definitely want to avoid. So yes, ads are fine but just make sure the visuals you use are fully yours to use.
- Yes! You don't have to limit to TikTok, Soundrise's slideshows can be reused on any platform that supports image carousels, such as Instagram or LinkedIn. The AI TikTok video editor also makes it simple to adjust your content so it fits perfectly on each platform.
